OUR STORY

Our STORY: Heartbreak to Hope

Music in Hospices began with a deeply personal moment between our founder, Joseph Cavalli-Price, and his mother in December 2019, when she was admitted for end-of-life care at Ty Olwen Hospice, Swansea.

On a solitary walk through the hospice corridors, Joe discovered an old piano covered in blankets and books. He wheeled it to his mother’s bedside, opened the lid, and began to play Somewhere Over the Rainbow — creating a transformative moment of tranquillity and connection.
